As incomprehensible as it may seem,
There's not the smallest thing about our lives
That escapes the attention of our Father in Heaven.
God knows absolutely everything about our needs and longings,
Fears and worries -- and He longs to take care of us,
If only we would just let Him!
But no -- we play armchair quarterback,
And second-guess Him every step of the way.
In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus encourages His disciples to
Spread the Good News far & wide -- and cautions them to not
Fear the difficulties and criticism and ridicule they will face --
Because God will take care of them.
It is good for us to remember Jesus' words,
No matter the trouble we face in our life --
And especially as we "step out in faith"
To spread the Gospel today:
"Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?
Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows."
