This design honors Mary -- Mother of Jesus -- Given by Jesus to all of us as our Mother, too. The Rosary encircles this ornament -- A star-filled sky representing the universe. The "silver mirror" rays at the top of the globe Represent God's help and grace pouring down upon us -- Freely and joyfully given in answer to our every prayer.

The Rosary is a meditation on Holy Scripture. Scripture teaches us that Mary was specially Chosen by God to be the Mother of His Son, Jesus. The first part of the famous "Hail Mary" prayer, Is taken from Scripture. It begins with the salutation of the Angel Gabriel When He announced God's plan to her -- And continues with Elizabeth's greeting to her cousin, Mary. She was overjoyed that the Mother of her Savior Would travel so far to greet her, As she herself awaited the birth of a son Who would be John, the Baptist.
